The European LIFE Haya project was present at the “Club Madera Networking<\/strong><\/em>” event, held at Ecohub Barcelona<\/em> on April 15 and 16. The event was aimed at fostering collaboration between companies and professionals in the industrialized timber construction secto<\/strong>r, as well as sharing experiences and promoting innovative solutions related to this material. <\/p>\n\n

Within the framework of the event, the LIFE Haya Project<\/strong> highlighted the potential of beech wood<\/strong> sourced from sustainably<\/strong> managed forests, emphasizing its role in reducing the carbon footprint<\/strong> and its contribution to more responsible construction aligned with current climate challenges.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

During the session, in which PEFC Espa\u00f1a participated, the progress of the project was presented, focusing on improving the resilience of beech forests to climate change through a sustainable forest management model. <\/p>\n\n

In this context, the new classification of beech wood<\/strong> was presented, a key development that will make it possible to optimize its use, improve its valorization within the supply chain, and promote its application in higher value-added products and construction solutions.<\/p>\n\n
