<\/a><\/figure>\n\nDuring the visit, the children had the opportunity to learn first-hand what CESEFOR is and how it works to promote sustainable forest management<\/strong>, innovation in the use of wood<\/strong>, and applied research in the forestry sector.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n Throughout the morning, the CESEFOR team organised different interactive activities included in the programme: themed activities, a guided tour of the workshops and wood samples<\/strong>, and the \u201cHands-on Science<\/em>\u201d workshop, where they were able to observe experiments and learn through play.<\/p>\n\n One of the highlights of the day was the talk on LIFE projects,<\/strong> especially the LIFE HAYA project<\/strong>, through which the pupils learned about the importance of close-to-nature silviculture<\/strong>. Through a participatory activity, they understood how this forest management model promotes forests that are more resilient to climate change<\/strong> and richer in biodiversity.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n The activity ended with a fun \u201cforest surprise<\/strong>\u201d and a group photo<\/strong> to remember a day full of learning, nature, and science.<\/p>\n\n<\/a><\/figure>\n\n<\/a><\/figure>\n\n
