The consortium reviewed the progress of WP4 during the Rebuild 2025 conference, focusing on the development of glued laminated beech beams and mixed beech-conifer CLT panels<\/p>\n\n

On April 24<\/strong>, the LIFE HAYA<\/strong> project took advantage of the Rebuild 2025<\/a><\/strong> to hold a working meeting among several of its partners with the aim of reviewing the status of some of the project\u2019s activities, specifically the development of new structural products with high added value made from beech wood.<\/p>\n\n

Silvia G\u00f3mez<\/strong> and Salom\u00e9 Temi\u00f1o<\/strong>, representing Cesefor, and Jordi Navarro<\/strong>, from ITeC, participated in the meeting. While Salom\u00e9 Temi\u00f1o and Jordi Navarro attended the conference in person, Silvia G\u00f3mez joined the meeting via videoconference. <\/p>\n\n

During the meeting, the industrial partners reviewed the progress made in developing two of the main lines of work within the work package:<\/p>\n\n

  • The development of glued-laminated beams made of beech wood<\/strong>, led by G\u00e1miz.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • The development of a composite CLT panel made of beech and conifers<\/strong>, developed by Egoin.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

    Holding the meeting as part of Rebuild also made it possible to meet beforehand with<\/strong> Egoin <\/strong>representatives attending <\/strong>the fair, which facilitated an exchange of views on the project\u2019s progress<\/strong> and the next steps<\/strong> for validating these innovative construction solutions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

    These types of coordination meetings<\/strong> are essential for ensuring the smooth progress of the LIFE HAYA project<\/strong>, fostering collaboration among<\/strong> the various partners<\/strong> and enabling joint monitoring<\/strong> of technical developments that will help promote the use of beech wood<\/strong> in structural applications and sustainable construction.<\/p>\n\n
