On 25 June we will hold the Third Committee of Experts of the LIFE HAYA project in La Rioja, during which we will visit two timber files that are going to be put out to tender: one in Valgañón, of large dimensions and which was identified by Errez and Tantai koop, and another in Ezcaray, of smaller sections but characterised by a steep slope and therefore difficult to harvest.
Given that in the two previous conferences the subject matter focused mainly on forestry aspects, the aim of this one is to focus mainly on aspects linked to the execution of harvests and the destination of the timber resulting from them, which are the factors that now condition the harvests in La Rioja.
This will be followed in the afternoon by a public outreach day to present the project and raise awareness of beech management and the opportunities for using beech wood.
