Cartographic tool designed to facilitate consultation and analysis of the main forestry aspects related to the management and valorisation of beech forests in northern Spain.

CNS SIMULATOR FOR BEECH FORESTS

Interactive silvicultural simulator for beech forests based on the principles of continuous cover forestry focused on the individual tree (CNS – close-to-nature silviculture). Based on basal area, dominant height, and stand growth, it models stand evolution and plans thinning interventions according to the stand’s condition: understocked and in recovery, in equilibrium, or overstocked and transitioning towards equilibrium.
