I LIFE HARDWOOD FOR THE HOME EXPERT COMMITTEE CONFERENCE

The main objective of the event is to create a forum for discussion on close-to-nature forestry in beech forests, exploring wood products, economic opportunities and issues associated with beech forest management, promoting sustainable forest management.

The event will be held on March 12, 2024 in Lagran (Alava), the main objective of the event is to provide a forum for discussion on close-to-nature forestry in beech forests, wood products, opportunities and problems of beech.

The event will start at 10 am at the meeting point where there will be a short presentation of what will be done at the event.

From 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., we will start with a visit to an irregular beech stand, followed by a visit to some stands cleared in 2011, and at the end of the visit we will stop for lunch.

From 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm, we will visit a freshly cut batch of white. Some areas with skidder and others with
others with processing and then a visit to a GOFAGUS plot.
