On May 8, the partners of the Life Haya-Hardwood For The Home project held the 2nd Committee of Experts with a large attendance of technicians from different Central and Territorial Services of Castilla y León, the Basque Country, Navarra and La Rioja, as well as representatives of the 1st and 2nd transformation industry interested in the use of beech wood.

During the meeting, which took place in Cilleruelo de Bezana (Burgos), there was a wide-ranging discussion on silviculture and signaling, with the singularity of having visited mixed stands in the area. This has allowed to deepen the potential to generate wood products and wealth in beech and mixed hardwood forests.

Within the framework of the project, a total of 6 Expert Committee meetings have been planned to discuss mainly aspects of close-to-nature forestry, forest profitability and qualities for the industry.
