I DAY OF FORESTERS AND LAND MANAGERS IN BIZKAIA

From 12 to 14 February, the 1st Conference of Foresters and Territorial Managers was held in Bizkaia, focusing on forestry close to nature in beech forests, with a master class by Froilán Sevilla Martínez, territorial head of Castilla y León.

From February 12 to 14, we held the First Conference of Foresters and Territory Managers in Bizkaia, with the aim of offering training in forestry close to nature in beech forests. The master class was given by Froilán Sevilla Martínez, head of the Merindades Territorial Section of the Junta de Castilla y León.

During the conference it was possible to visit different beech stands with potential to be chosen as demonstration stands within the Life Haya project, to which close-to-nature silviculture will be applied.

  • The event on the 12th was held in the Urkiola Natural Park and was attended by technicians and guards belonging to the Provincial Council of Bizkaia.
  • On the 13th, another day was held in Urkiola, attended by technicians from the private sector of Bizkaia.

And finally, the event on the 14th was held in Salvatierra de Esca, a town located in the Zaragoza Pyrenees, with the assistance of technicians and nature protection agents from the forestry services of Aragon.
