LIFE HAYA exchanged experience on climate adaptation and forest management at the ninth Spanish Forestry Congress in Gijón. It also presented research on bats in Basque and Navarrese beech forests and their importance for biodiversity conservation.

Pupils from CEIP Fuente del Rey in Soria explored forest science at Cesefor. Workshops, experiments and LIFE HAYA activities introduced sustainable forest management and the role of close-to-nature forestry in supporting biodiversity and climate resilience.

LIFE HAYA introduced sustainable forest management to 60 pupils from CRA El Valle in Soria. The session explained the importance of beech forests, the effects of climate change and the responsible use of timber.

Cesefor represented LIFE HAYA at the European forest restoration meeting in Brașov. Participants exchanged progress with other projects on close-to-nature forestry, climate adaptation and long-life timber products as part of forest restoration and sustainable management.

ITeC presented LIFE HAYA at Construmat 2025 in Barcelona. Its stand, digital leaflet and technical activities introduced the project’s objectives and environmental benefits to professionals interested in sustainable building and industrialised construction processes.

Nasuvinsa, Egoin and Cesefor represented LIFE HAYA at the fifth International Wood Construction Forum in Pamplona. The team exchanged progress and challenges in mixed CLT development with the PRISMA project and adhesive specialists.

A delegation of 23 professionals travelled to Bavaria with LIFE HAYA to explore sustainable hardwood management. Visits examined forest planning, cooperation between small forest owners and industrial timber processing, offering lessons for the Spanish forestry sector.

LIFE HAYA partners reviewed the development of glued laminated beech beams and mixed beech–conifer CLT panels at Rebuild 2025. The meeting shared progress by Gámiz and Egoin and helped coordinate the next technical tasks.

Maderas Legarda sawed the first beech timber batch from the Baraibar demonstration stand in Navarre. Cesefor assessed logs, boards and by-products to analyse processing yields and timber use as part of the LIFE HAYA project.
